UA women's basketball team opens season with win

November 13, 2009

University of Akron women's basketball coach Jodi Kest entered this season with a goal to have more players consistently score points.
That objective was accomplished in the season opening game.

Murphy an All-MAC preseason choice, UA women picked fourth

The University of Akron women's basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the 2009-10 Mid-American Conference's East Division in a preseason poll released by the league office Wednesday morning.
