The PD’s Elton Alexander writes today that Akron will be in control of the MAC East with a win over Buffalo, to whom the Zips have not lost since 1999.

The ABJ’s David Lee Morgan wrote an interesting story about how the coaches grade players.

  1. Zipsfan Says:

The Zips have yet to lose to Buffalo. They first played in 1999.

  2. Have My Doubts Says:

The Zips have Buffalo, Bowling Green, and Miami all on the road … YUCK!

  3. GJGood Says:

If the Zips continue to fade coming out of the locker room at halftime of games it will be a long trip back to Akron Saturday. While the Zips have not lost to Buffalo in their short rivalry, this will be by far the best Bulls team the Zips have ever played.

In this crazy MAC year this could turn out to be THE pivotal game of the entire season for Akron. A win and maybe the momentum carries them for a while, especially since they play three games in twelve days. A loss and you would have lost to both Temple and Buffalo, an unbelievable concept at the beginning of the season.

    This game has become HUGE!!
For all practical purposes this game decides who the MAC East Champ will eventually be.
If we beat Buffalo then we are capable of beating Miami and BG and then we win the East. If Buffalo wins then the same holds true for them. As fans we are going to find out how much this team wants to win the Division. We need to play ALL FOUR QUARTERS.
