According to some computer geeks, Akron has a 3.27 percent shot at earning an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament.
That's assuming Akron finishes the regular season at 22-6, which is RPIForecast.com's bet. I don't mean to rag on the dorks, because both of these predictions are probably accurate. Three losses in the MAC is great, but you have to do more than that to dance.
I'll break down the OU/Akron game tomorrow. Winning Saturday will be a huge step toward consideration for the postseason. Right now, the Zips haven't earned it.

Given Akron's recent hoops history, they will lose at least 6 games in the MAC this season. They will lose a few they shouldn't for sure. The MAC is down this year and the Zips may be the best of the down conference. Time will tell.

How do we finish the regular season 22-6 when we play 30 games this year? I guess they forgot to count the 2 CBE Classic games. I picked us to finish 22-8 but if we don't win the MAC tournament that won't be enough to make it to the NCAA tournament.
