Alleman: Let's focus on Saturday

David Lee Morgan's story today brought up two interesting facts:
- The Zips believe they can/will go 8-4 by winning the final six games.
- Senior lineman Andy Alleman is telling everyone to forget that. Miami is Akron's only concern.
That should be reassuring to Zips fans that the team kept its confidence, despite a two-game losing streak. However, they aren't overlooking 1-5 Miami.
- Tim Crouch certainly has had his problems on and off the field this season. However, his grades are perfect, and that earned him a spot on the semifinal list for the Draddy Award.

There is an easy fix for the offense - - - pass to the tight end every once and a while.

8-4?! Wishing and hoping don't make it so.Thank you Zipmeister for observing one of the glaring coaching/quarterbacking issues…the tight end. With the inability of the O line to block anything consistently, Kasparek would look good catching a few 10-15 yarders on 1st down.
Folks, winning 6 in a row just ain't gonna happen. The way these guys are coaching and playing. If they go 6-6 and audition some folks for next year, that would be an achievement. We can always watch Kent on TV in the MAC champ game.

I've been harping on throwing to that giant Kasperik since Penn State. It's the most obvious oversight imaginable—not using your TE when the offense is stagnant. However, after watching Butterfingers and his Northcutt impersonation, I may understand why the Giant is used for blocking. But he can forget any pro offers. KSU's basketball player became a better TE/receiver than Kris could ever dream to be. All, of course, unfortunately.

The Zips blow and so does Rasor. Both should give up at everything.
