Ohio State screwed Kennedy

Football

If you want to talk about shifty practices, read about Dennis Kennedy's path to Akron in today's Plain Dealer.

Ohio State offered him a scholarship, but retracted it for reasons the university calls "academic."

Kennedy's high school coach believes a Buckeyes recruit who wasn't expected to make grades earned higher scores than expected. That knocked Kennedy out of Jim Tressel's plans.

Kennedy really shows his character by saying God's will brought him to Akron, and there are no hard feelings between him and Ohio State.

  • Danny Sheridan says Akron will beat Central Michigan by one.
  • The major sportsbooks basically agree.

He would be another one of those talents that go to OSU in the hopes for glory but end up sitting on the bench as a backup.
