Remember how Akron got shafted in the seeding for last year's NCAA Tournament?
You know, the screw-job that made the head coach leave and forced the Zips to play two games on the road en route to the national quarterfinals?
Maybe the respect is starting to come. College Soccer News has ranked the Zips seventh in the nation, despite Akron's loss of former coach Ken Lolla and star forward Ross MacKenzie. It is Akron's highest preseason ranking ever.
