Men's basketball

As many of you, I heard about this t-shirt switch. Having to work all day (ugh!), I didn't get to see it.

Whoever came up with that deserves a promotion. I'm still laughing.

Tennis

The women's tennis team (1-3) won its first dual meet Saturday at St. Bonaventure, 5-3.

The team has done poorly in the MAC the past few years. However, while perusing the box score from the game, I noticed the main contributors are young. That is a reason for hope.

They are Jenna Larson (sophomore), Amy Sherlock (freshman), Tanya Gombera (freshman), Laura Hemlepp (freshman) and Alyssa Carlson (freshman). The eight-member team has six freshmen (also Lindsey Berry and Kerry Langworthy) and only one upperclassman, senior Jennifer Ales.

The Zips play next Saturday at Wright State.
