I have some new backpacks which have sort of accumulated over the years. I'd like to donate them to some needy students.

Please advise

Wow, what a great event it was at "The Office". I never realized how nice akron is becoming. Excellent ambience and wonderful crowd. We should hold events here more often.

As a former intern at the Chamber, the parking garage was the strangest thing when I first started. Left-right? Up-down? What building is that? Reserved spaces? Over time, it will become second nature. Enjoy the internsip.

I attended this luncheon, and I have attended other Chamber-sponsored speaker luncheons in the past. I found this particular speaker to be very helpful, concise, and on point. The event was well-organized and had a lot to offer. As an area YP looking to build my network, I find these events to be quite conducive to that goal. Even if you do not think you can learn anything from an etiquette or motivational speaker (and trust me, we can all learn from these speakers), the networking aspect is very valuable. I would highly encourage random table number drawings, as I did see an entire table of people from the same company.

The Wii is a great game. My husband and I were just playing it over the weekend. I had bought Carnival games and it was great. We had fun competing to win and of course I got mad when he did well.

I did attend the Bowling event and really enjoyed myself and was able to meet people without just having to walk up to them and try to make conversation. What a great event it was and I actually got some strikes so I was proud.

haha!! The Wii is a great system to gather people of all ages. We have had firece fights over who is the best bowler, golfer, etc. It is so much fun. I wish my Wii scores would actually related to real bowling. I will be there. Once again I look forward to Bowling and hope to meet other cool people at the bowling event. See people read and post.

I'd say it's true that your late teens/twentysomethings exhibit an unfortunate sense of entitlement. I recently interviewed a college junior for an intern position at my company, and he showed up unshaven with dirty clothes, a short temper (he threw a fit when I asked him to fill out some basic paperwork), a foul mouth (used profanity several times during the interview), and a condescending demeanor, and couldn't figure out why he didn't get the job! Pathetic.
