Maxworthy to coach Buckeye wrestlers

McKinley Wrestler Pulls Major Upset

Ruben Burrows, a junior srestler from Canton McKinley, pulled a major upset this afternoon in taking out Ty Davis, from Lakota West High School in West Chester.  David was projected to win this year’s title, according to many. Burrows is the first wrestler to even place for McKinley in more than 20 years.

CVCA’s Tomasello Breezes in Opening Match

CVCA’s Nathan Tomasello, who is ranked No. 1 in his weight class in the nation, breezed through his opening match at the OHSAA 74th Annual State Wrestling Tournament Thursday afternoon. Tomasello, a sophmore, pinned St. Martin’s Ferry’s Damon Outward in the championship prelims.
