Keen, Kilway & Williams lead Tallmadge to perfect week

The Tallmadge baseball team compiled a perfect 5-0 record last week with a potent offense.
The Blue Devils defeated Barberton and Brunswick twice and Highland once.
Tallmadge scored 47 runs, had 59 hits and posted a .391 batting average over the five games.

Tallmadge’s Pakan to play baseball at GWU

December 9, 2008

Tallmadge senior third baseman Paul Pakan has committed to play baseball at George Washington University next season.
Pakan, who carries a 4.05 grade-point average and scored a 30 on the ACT, hit .471 last season for Tallmadge (25-4). He hit eight home runs and had 34 RBI.

Revere boys win Suburban League golf title

The Revere boys golf team won its third consecutive Suburban League postseason tournament to clinch the league title. Revere won a share of the league title with Green in 2006, but the Minutemen were able to win it outright this season.

Walsh Jesuit baseball No. 1 in poll

The Wadsworth boys and girls track and field teams won the Suburban League meet Saturday at Green. Each squad scored 163 points to win.
