Roosevelt senior picks University of Iowa for soccer

Kent Roosevelt senior Emily Moran has committed to continue her academic and soccer career at the University of Iowa.
Moran earned Division I Greater Akron All-District honors last fall as the Rough Riders’ goalkeeper and is a member of the U.S. Olympic Developmental Program.
She is also a place-kicker on Roosevelt’s football team.

Lake girls soccer record broken

September 17, 2007

Senior forward Jess Wilson broke the Lake girls soccer team’s career scoring record with her first of three goals Monday night in a 4-1 victory over Marlington.
Lake improved its record to 5-3-0 with the win. Wilson now has 53 career goals.

Northwest girls soccer team remains undefeated

The Northwest girls soccer team defeated Alliance 2-0 Wednesday to improve to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference.

Moore commits to University of Akron soccer team

Firestone senior Dominic Moore has orally committed to the University of Akron soccer team, Falcons coach Mark Schwerdtfeger said.

Junior Ben Speas will not be playing on the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy soccer team this season because he was named to the U.S. U-17 National team in Bradenton, Fla., CVCA coach Jason Spodnik said.
