Jackson advances to Division I state semifinal

Senior forwards Josh Egner and Mark Henniger led Jackson to a 52-50 victory over Toledo St. John’s Jesuit in a Division I regional final Saturday night at Rhodes Arena on the campus of the University of Akron.

The Polar Bears advance to play in a state semifinal in Columbus with a 23-2 record. The Titans conclude their season with a 19-5 record.

Egner, a 6-foot-6 University of Akron recruit, scored 24 points.

Henniger, a 6-foot-7 Kent State University recruit, scored 17 points.
