Garfield plays at Ellet at 7 p.m. Friday and Rams football coach Bob Sax is still looking for a complete game from his squad this fall.
Garfield (3-3) is coming off a 23-0 win over East last week. Ellet (2-4) defeated Firestone 20-6 last week.
“Ellet is always a tough game,” Sax said in an e-mail. “They are well-coached and disciplined. We will have to be fundamentally sound on both sides of the ball.”
The Rams need to cut down on turnovers – Garfield turned the ball over twice in the redzone last week and once more driving toward the redzone.
“We cannot do that this week and expect to come out with a victory,” Sax said.
Garfield’s defense played well last week and forced several three and outs.
