St. V-M’s Motley Gets His Kicks On The Field(s)

by David Lee Morgan Jr. on September 22, 2009

in Football, Soccer, St. Vincent-St. Mary

St. Vincent-St. Mary junior Chris Motley can’t help but like the game of football. He’s the grandson of NFL Hall of Famer and former Browns running back and linebacker (1946-1953) Marion Motley, who passed away in 1999.

Chris Motley is the kicker for the Irish football team but he’s also one of the top soccer players in the state and is expected to be invited to some of the premier camps, including Indiana University’s camp, this year.

He may be good in soccer (have not seen him there), but as far as football is concerned he is below average. Compared to Hoban’s kicker last Friday he was no where near in ability. Hoban’s kicker may be one of the best in the state.

Chris Motley is a great athlete with speed. This is his first year kicking, for the Irish. He knows the game of football inside out. He is probably the top player in the state, regardless of class!

In soccer, that is.
