Manchester senior Kristin Gainer reached her 50th career singles win Monday and is now the school’s all-time leader in wins. She is 6-0 this season.
“This is something I thought about since I was a freshman,” said Gainer, who was 20-2 last year. “There were times during my freshman year that I didn’t think I could do it because 50 seemed like a lot of wins. But I just kept working hard.
“Each offseason, I would take two or three weeks off then I would get right back out there taking lessons.”
