Green should still be in conference mix

On paper the start to Green’s season hasn’t looked very good, but some area coaches still think they are team that could be a factor in the Suburban League.

“Green is 0-3 but their non conference schedule was pretty tough,’’ Revere coach Terry Cistone said, fully expecting the Bulldogs to be a factor.

Wadsworth (3-0), who is arguably the best team in the conference, probably would not have been undefeated had they played Lake, Garfield and GlenOak like Green had.

“We are kind of licking our wounds a little bit after our first three games,’’ Green coach Tom Stacy said. “We have had some injuries (and) we are just starting to get back and really starting to get healthy…We expect to play better.’’

Junior defensive tackle Dylan Brumbaugh (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) and senior tight end defensive end Kyle Resanovich are both playing high level football right now for the Bulldogs.
