Solon junior DE Darryl Baldwin (6-6, 250) could make his college decision by mid-July or sooner, according to Solon coach Jim McQuaide.

Tuslaw senior QB Shelby Combs has committed to play football at Mount Union.
Combs, who is 5-10 and 190 pounds, was second-team all-state. He rushed for 1,150 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. He also threw for 630 yards and six touchdowns in 2008.

Kent Roosevelt senior Tyler Lohr has signed to play football and baseball at Baldwin-Wallace.
 
Lohr was a first-team all-Portage Trail Conference selection during football season last fall. He was also second-team all-district.
 
Lohr is a four-year letterwinner for the Kent Roosevelt baseball team.

St. Vincent-St. Mary senior track and field standout Kyle Hammer has committed to compete at Wheeling Jesuit University.
Hammer will compete in the shot put, discus and hammer throw in college.

West Chester Lakota West junior DB Brandon Neal (5-11, 165) has reportedly been offered by Akron, according to ScoutingOhio.com.
 
Neal, whose first offer was from Kent State, also has offers from Ohio University, Bowling Green, Toledo and Buffalo, according to the Web site.
