McKinley graduate transfers to Malone to swim

Eli Hawkins, a 2007 graduate of Canton McKinley High School, has recently signed a letter of intent to attend Malone University next fall and participate in the school’s inaugural intercollegiate swimming and diving season.

Hawkins, a 6-foot-3 sprint and freestyle swimmer, lettered three years at McKinley and is transferring to Malone from Oakland (MI) University. He was named the Bulldogs MVP in the 2006-2007 season and earned All-Federal League honors in the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons. Academically, he was a member of the Honor Roll and the Merit Roll.
