The Tallmadge baseball team compiled a perfect 5-0 record last week with a potent offense.
The Blue Devils defeated Barberton and Brunswick twice and Highland once.
Tallmadge scored 47 runs, had 59 hits and posted a .391 batting average over the five games.
Three seniors led the charge at bat. They were Matt Keen, Pat Kilway and A.J. Williams.
Keen, a right-handed pitcher/second baseman that bats leadoff, went 8-for-13 (.615 average) with 11 runs scored, six RBI and four stolen bases. He reached base 17 times in 20 plate appearances. He had five singles, a double, two home runs, four walks, 3 hit by pitches and twice reached base on an error. His slugging percentage was 1.154 and he also pitched, going 1-0 in four innings with six strikeouts and one earned run allowed.
Kilway, a catcher, went 11-for-18 (.611 average) with eight singles, two doubles, one home run, eight RBI, two stolen bases, six runs and an .889 slugging percentage.
Williams, a third baseman, went 10-for-17 (.588 average) with six singles, two doubles, two home runs, eight RBI, seven runs and a 1.059 slugging percentage.
Tallmadge has a 9-2 overall record and has won eight games in a row.
