Alliance RB one to watch

by Beacon Sports on April 3, 2009

Alliance freshman RB Brionte Dunn (6-0, 200 pounds) is a name to watch in the 2012 class, according to Rivals.com.

There are video highlights of him at OhioVarsity.com.

Blog readers and Stark County fans, what can you tell me about him? How talented is he? What type of impact can he make the next three seasons?

How on earth are these services keeping track of mere 8th graders?! Good grief. I’m sure this RB’s gonna be a good one considering he’s only in 8th grade and he’s 6-0, 200 lbs.?!?! Again, good grief! But man, the development this kid may or may not go through before his senior year is quite a variable for predicting his college potential. Lol. But you’ve definitely piqued my interest – I may take in an Alliance game this fall to see this kid play.

As an aside, they’re really turning the program around at Alliance. They’ve had quite a few good athletes come out of that school over the past few years, so the Zips really may want to keep in regular touch with the Aviators. (Not that I know anything the Zip coaches don’t know. Lol.)

I’m sorry. As I read more closely, I see that both Brionte Dunn and Toneo Gulley are freshmen and NOT 8th graders. For some reason the first time I read these two posts I thought they were saying that these players were currently 8th graders, soon-to-be freshmen next season.
