Southwest Ohio player has Kent State offer

Middletown junior QB Caleb Watkins (6-3, 210) has been recently offered by Kent State, according to Cincinnati.com.

Watkins threw for a league-leading 2,089 yards last season along with 22 touchdowns. He rushed for 341 yards and three touchdowns.

Middletown, which is halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton, plays in the Greater Miami Conference. The GMC is considered one of the top public-school leagues in Ohio.

Watkins also has an offer from Ohio University.
