Erick Howard update

North Canton junior RB Erick Howard – the 2008 Mr. Football award winner – continues to draw significant college interest.

Howard, who is 5-10 and 210 pounds, told Rivals.com he has offers from Akron, Kent State, Colorado, Cincinnati and possibly Michigan State.

“I am happy to have those offers but I plan on waiting,” Howard told the Web site. “I am keeping all my options open right now.”

Rivals.com has Howard rated as a 0-star prospect! Um, I know Rivals doesn’t have their stuff together quite often, but a returning Ohio Mr. Football player who is 5-10, 210 pounds and reportedly runs a 4.5 40 gets ZERO stars?! Is Howard perhaps quite a bit slower than advertised?

If I might humbly add to my previous post – it appears that Rivals obviously just hasn’t gotten around to giving Erick Howard a star rating yet. I was just looking at Jewone Snow’s profile on Rivals and they don’t have him with any stars yet either. My predictions – Erick Howard = 3-star prospect; Jewone Snow = 4-star prospect.
