Ignatius’ Kyle has busy offseason

Now that Cleveland St. Ignatius football coach Chuck Kyle earned his 10th Division I State Title in November he can begin to focus on his side project: coaching the USA Football Junior national Team.

This weekend Kyle will meet his 10-man staff in Nashville, Tenn. For meetings on team roster composition, preliminary player selection, playbook assembly and training camp practice schedule.

The meetings will be apart of the American Football Coaches Association Annual (AFCA) Convention. Kyle will also be giving presentations for the AFCA High School forum, Big 10 Conference Head Coaches Meeting, AFCA High School Coaches Clinic and Football Bowl Subdivision Head Coaches Meeting.

USA Football’s junior National team will be compiled of 45 student-athletes from the 2009 graduating class. They will compete in the IFAF Junior World Championships at Canton’s Fawcett Stadium June 27-July 5.
