Walsh Jesuit senior Tia Marquinez placed ninth in the Division II girls diving championship.
The boys diving championship is scheduled to start tonight at 7 p.m.
Look for a story in Friday’s Akron Beacon Journal about the state diving meet.

Congrats to the divers! This is outstanding! It appears that the 2 toughest in the state for diving are from this area as well.

District diving was not in the paper like this, just the state meet. Once the wrestling state meet comes around, you will be in the paper. Especially if 2 kids from the same school go 1-2. Wrestling will get its turn. Swimming/diving usually doesn’t get the coverage basketball, football, and baseball get. Same with wrestling.
Congrats Lee and Beth.
