NORTH CANTON HOOVER 31, JACKSON 0
Varsity Letters Player of the Game: Hoover senior quarterback Jared Wackerly.
Wackerly completed 10-of-16 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns to help host Hoover clinch homefield advantage for the playoffs and secure its first outright Federal League title since 2003.
Wackerly connected with senior wide receiver Matt Wakulchik for touchdowns of 2 and 53 yards. Wackerly also ran for an 8-yard score.
“We have a lot of chemistry going,” Wackerly said of Hoover’s offense. “The line has been blocking great in every game so far.”
