(6-4, 6-0 City Series)

(8-2, 5-1 City Series)

3. Firestone
(6-4, 4-2 City Series)

4. Garfield
(3-7, 3-3 City Series)

5. East
(4-6, 2-4 City Series)

(3-7, 1-5 City series)

7. Kenmore

Here’s my predictions

Buchtel: Too much speed for Ellet to stop. The have to be mistake free to beat Ellet

Ellet: Should have a very good Offfense, and a decent Defense. Yost wont allow them to make many mistakes.

Firestone: Very talented, and are starting to buy into the Flossie Way. Will be one of the top teams in city within a few years

Garfield: Will have one of the best Defenses in the area, but the Offense will not help them out at all.

East: Have some great talented players, but must play more as a team then on their own.

North: Larry Dawson is one of the best players in all of the area. With his size and speed looks for them to win a few games.

Kenmore: Just dont see that much talent here, but im sure grimm’s will have them giving their all. wish them luck.

Key Game: Week 4 (9/15/2007) Ellet vs Buchtel

This has nothing to do with City Series Football (as if anyone cares???), but is it true Nate, that Baron von Wayne will be hired as Terry Pluto’s replacement at The Beacon Journal? If he doesn’t get Pluto’s job, I hope Beaven does (although he could never write the spiritual column given his behavior).

How will Garfield be this year? Has Whitney narrowed his choices for college? When will he decide?

Also, I heard Buchtel’s Adams could be interested in the Zips. Any truth?

The most important question: What type of food was served at City Series media day?

The key game in the City Series is Ellet vs Buchtel. Whoever wins that game will win the City Series title this season. Firestone played Ellet close last season, but that is a bit deceiving because I believe Ellet was without it’s best RB, Wicks, due to injury. In all honesty I wouldn’t be surprised if Garfield ends the season ahead of Firestone as well.
