Walsh Jesuit senior pitcher Lucas Walsh has committed to continue his academic and baseball career at Division III John Carroll University.

Walsh, 6-foot-5, 175 pounds, is a three-year letterwinner for the Warriors.

This season, Walsh is 1-0 with one save and a 1.96 ERA.

“Lucas Walsh is a valuable asset to our baseball program in many ways,” Warriors coach Chris Kaczmar said. “He is extremely reliable on the mound, throws several pitches for strikes and has a tremendous demeanor when he gets the ball. He is also very consistent with his delivery and has an extremely projectable frame. All that being said, it’s outside the lines where we will miss him most when he graduates. Lucas is a tremendous human being, a good friend and a caring and kind teammate. He truly is a fine young man whose mere presence can light up the dugout.”
