Monday’s around the Indians minors

A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Monday:

Triple-A Columbus (52-33) – Visiting Columbus topped Toldeo 5-4…RHP Carlos Carrasco allowed four runs on eight hits over five innings in a no-decision…CF Jose Constanza went 3-for-5 with an RBI and run scored…3B Jared Goedert 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI…DH Cord Phelps went 2-for-3 with double, RBI and a run scored.

Double-A Akron (41-42) – Host Akron used a franchise-high tying seven run inning to defeat Trenton 9-3…RHP Alex White got a no-decision despite limiting the Thunder to a run on three hits over six innings…3B Lonnie Chisenhall went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI…DH John Drennen went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBI.

High Class-A Kinston (6-5 in second half) – Host Kinston lost 11-3 to Frederick, as the Keys pounded out 17 hits…RHP Joe Mahalic (3-3, 3.92 ERA) took the loss after giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks over just 3 2/3 innings…RHP Matthew Langwell struggled in relief, dishing out five runs on six hits in a mere 1/3 of an inning…1B Jeremie Tice and RF Doug Pickens each drove in a run…2B Karexon Sanchez scored a pair of runs…LF Justin Toole was the only Kinston player to record a multi-hit game.

Low Class-A Lake County (6-5 in second half) – Visiting Lake County topped Lansing 3-1…RHP Clayton Cook limited the Keys to a run on three hits over six innings for the win…RHP Tyler Sturdevant struck out six in three innings of scoreless relief…DH Tim Palincsar went 2-for-4 with an RBI…CF Delvi Cid went 3-for-5.

Short-season Mahoning Valley (9-9) – Visiting Mahoning Valley crushed Connecticut 8-3…RHP Alex Kaminsky earned the win by limiting the Tigers to two runs on five hits on six innings…RF Carlos Moncrief went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI…CF Brian Heere went 2-for-3 with two RBI…1B Jonathan Burnette hit a two-run home run.
