For the second consecutive year, free agent second baseman Orlando Hudson has been available deep into the off season.
Could the Cleveland Indians be his destination this season?
Hudson, a four-time Gold Glove winner and two-time All-Star, spent last season as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers where he hit .283/.357/.417 in 551 at bats.
He was signed for one season at $3.38 million, according to Cot’s Baseball Contracts.
MLB.com beat writer Anthony Castrovince does some debunking of the rumor here by saying it could be a ploy by Hudson’s agent to drive up the market value for his agent.
So, who is correct?
Are Hudson’s people using the Indians to drive up Hudson’s market value or is Hudson a legitimate option for the Tribe?
