Romero is in fact a decent prospect, but don't let reality get in the way of your Wedge whining.

The ownership is soon going to realize that fan loyalty and owner obligations to the city are a two-way street. The fans aren't going to dig into their pockets to see a sub-rate product. If they want that, there is a minor league team in every other city to go watch. This is pro ball and Paul Dolan isn't playing pro ball ownership well at all. Paul Dolan will argue that he had to toss in millions extra of his own money to own the Tribe this year. Well, as the owner, his obligation is to add as much of his own money as it takes to field a winner, and not just enough to stay afloat. It's called an investment. Then, the team is better, the fans buy tickets and merchandise, and eventually the owner will see a profit.

Rocket science it ain't.

Hold it! That's not the same Niuman Romero, the sub-.200 infielder that Wedgie said "we need to take a closer look at," is it? This must be some mistake! Romero is obviously our future! We recalled him, instead of the freakin' Triple A batting champion, right? That WAS a good decision, right? Everyone was on-board, right? We most certainly didn't need any more OFFENSE, right? Oh, wait! Wait! We DID struggle to score runs the entire season. Of course, we needed more offense. But this Romero kid....that was our ticket.

Does the Tribe brass now understand why the fans have ZERO confidence in every move they make?
