If LaPorta were with ANY other organization, he'd be in the majors right now. It's only the Indians who think they know best. That's why Laffey and Sipp were cut in Spring Training. That's why they kept Juan Gonzales over Grazy Sizemore. Because (shock!!!)...the Indians DON'T know best.

Tell me what Trevor Crowe has done to deserve a spot in Cleveland over LaPorta? And Francisco has been as hit-and-miss as the guy we shipped to Seattle. We finally have some IMPACT hitters chomping at the bit in LaPorta and Brantley, and we're gonna bring back Delucci instead??

Shapiro says he's built a championship-caliber team to compete year in and year out. Dude, talk is cheap. You have the WORST RECORD in the entire league. Take the George Costanza approach: Do the opposite of whatever you think is right.

So Matt LaPorta can be hot for about a month and then he's right back in the boat with Crowe & Francisco.

We have to stop the madness: going with the hot minor leaguer is a dan-ger-ous way to run the show.

It's time to stop pussyfooting around. Left-field has been a weak spot for this lineup for Y-E-A-R-S now. Crowe is not going to hit, and Francisco apparently won't, either. They are liabilities in this lineup.

We traded C.C. for a reason: Matt LaPorte. He is tearing the cover off the ball, and is needed in Cleveland R.I.G.H.T. N.O.W. What are we waiting for, the entire season to tank in April once again? It's time to be PROactive. Others have had their shot and BLEW IT.

I preached it throughout Spring Training. This team cannot, will not, hit consistently. They've played 20 games, winning 7. In 20 games, they've scored 4 runs or less 10 times. Eight times, it's 3 runs or less.

No, starting pitching doesn't have to be the weakness with this team. There is too much quality depth, so everyone can be replaced if they're ineffective.

But whaddaya do with a lineup of guys who've shown us year after year (except for the flukey '07 season) that THEY CANNOT WIN WITH THE "1 thru 9" approach....because they space out their hits, don't hit in the clutch, strikeout too much.

THIS is why fans aren't excited. We've seen this all before and know exactly how it ends. The shocking part is that Wedge is already calling out his guys. But he's created some emotionless zombies over several years.
