OMAR WOULD BE A NICE FIT .THEY BROUGHT KENNY LOFTON BACK WHY NOT OMAR TO FINISH HIS CAREER WHERE HE PUT HIS SIAMP ON HIS CAREER AN HELPED LEAD THE TRIBE TO THE PLAYOFFS.

Yeah, he deserves the HOF but let’s not get carried away. The Indians held onto him a year or two too long. They should’ve gotten something for him when he still had some value. And they have NO business signing him now. Maybe he’d be a nice leader now, but he wasn’t the most popular guy among teammates when he was here before.

I think the Indians organization should have kept Omar when they first released him but it’s too late now. He’s the best shortstop that baseball has ever seen and definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame with the rest of the greats.

I agree completely with Paul T…Mark Shapiro should find a place for Omar..
Even if his numbers aren’t the greatest, his defense outshines everyone else…
He would be an asset to the clubhouse…Northeast Ohio loves Omar…

he would have been a great pickup for the tribe as a utility player and a nice way to end his time in baseball he would of put some fans in the stands Omar was and is still loved in Cleveland our greatest shortstop ever!!!!

Dave…I think you’re right on, except that I’ve got a very strong feeling he’s another guy who is going to get hosed by the writers at HOF time.

Everybody loves Omar, and rightfully so. His zeal for the game is contagious. But his numbers from the last few years show that his tank is about empty. Time to start working on that Hall of Fame speech my friend….
