They've been "wooing him for years?" It's gotten pretty silly, dragging all these guys up on stage, all these aging rockers pretending they're still relevant long after the fact. Granted, it won't be quite as entertaining as when we were recently treated to seeing Tom Petty's silly blond wig and his new set of big bright white veneer choppers. Does Tom brush those Chicklets with Gleem or Polident? The denture paste is probably less abrasive.

Dear Chrissie,
 If you would have dropped 80 to 100 K off the low end in the mastering process and used a little less compression on the bass on track three in the intro, plus the convolution reverb used on the backing vocals on tracks 6 and 9 needed a liitle less plate and more room sound. Also, I found that the vintage tele sound didn't really give the bridge on track 2 the alt/country/reggae/rock twist I think you were looking for.

P.S. ..........Your veal sandwhich is KILLER!

I was at Blossom last night for this and it was great! We were on the lawn so got completely drenched in the rain but hearing Rod sing "Have you ever felt the rain?" and everyone up there shouting "YES!" was just fantastic! Bryan Adams was great too and I will be buying his latest album!

Rod Stewart obviously knows he's older than the rockers of todays charts but playfully turns that into his show and what a show it was! Swinging and grinding his hips, joking with the crowd, all in all just an excellent fun time!

Dear Chrissie;

Checked out your new title-track tune all the way through.

'Would have been so much better somewhat slower and
without forcing the lyrics so much. Also, it lacked the
vintage Pretenders sound, presence, and drive like when
you pulled out all the stops in, "Mystery Achievement".

P.S. "Chinese Plastic Boots" would have been a more succinct
and to-the-point title. (I DO mean well, Dear. Can you tell?)

The Pretenders. Boy, you're not kidding. Yet another Hynde solo album, but she still feels commercially compelled to dredge up the name Pretenders. Talk about a pretender.

Jeremy, they're obviously not better suited to play more than dinky theaters, or there wouldn't have been so many empty seats in the dinky theater in the first place. If they were booked in Cleveland's arena, as you were silly enough to assert, there would be so many curtains surrounding masses of empty seats, it would look like an aisle where they sell drapes at Wal-Mart.
