According to Springsteen manager Jon Landau, after performing the whole album mid-show in Chicago, Springsteen and crew were surprised at how much fans loved the concept (Really?!) and have decided to do the album at Giants Stadium and in Cleveland.

Wouldn't it just be easier and better-sounding to listen to the actual album? And hey, when you see him, do you think you can tell him that a band pretending to play its instruments at the Super Bowl really isn't cool? In fact, it's pretty much a disgrace. Why is it that Prince and the Rolling Stones can do it the totally kosher way, but the purported "Boss" has to fake it? Not much of a boss.
To answer your question, Alan, it's because "the boss" stinks. All of his songs sound the same, his back-up band is awful, his "working man" schtick is so transparently phony it's laughable, and his live shows are a rip-off.
Who's election campaign is this again? I mean, that is all he is good for anymore. Bruce does now and has always………sucked. Boring.
FU all! none of you little a-holes can even bother to hear to what joy Springsteen and the E-street Band (NOT his "backup" band) bring night after night, year after year. I might add, a band that is STILL going strong after 35 YEARS of near non-stop touring, and plays for THREE hours a night. Now the current crop of poser-bands that you three all follow, like Coldplay, for example, cannot even hope to equal that work ethic. And remember, Bruce is SIXTY YEARS OLD, with band members even older than him, recovreing from surgeries recently.
The "working man schtick" is just showing his roots- he doesn't pretend to be one of those kind, but he cares about those who are, and how extremely difficult it is to exist in that class of people in today's America.
Bruce has only shown the pure joy of performing, and that feeling is easily transferred over to his audience every night, every show. HE ASKS FOR NOTHING IN RETURN FROM HIS AUDIENCE.
