And the "in it's entirety" trend continues to make its way to Akron with the announcement that Rock n Roll Hall of Famers Steely Dan will bring its Rent Party '09 Tour to The University of Akron's E.J. Thomas Hall for two nights and two albums (in their entirety).

On Monday, Nov. 16 the venerable jazz/pop group will perform its 1977 hit album AJA in its entirety plus "selected additional favorites."

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, the venerable pop/jazz group will perform its 1976 hit album THE ROYAL SCAM in its entirety plus "selected additional favorites."

That means hits' such as Peg, Deacon Blues and Kid Charlemagne all in the order you remember them (unless your first SD album was a best-of…)

Tickets are $61, $91, $148 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5. at all Ticketmasters, livenation.com and the E.J. Thomas Hall box office (800)745-3000

See the glory….

Excellent! I've been a critic of UA's Dan Dahl but he deserves acolades on this one. Good going Dan. Let's see more of the same.

I agree,..I'd love to go see this !

I would love to see this also…but the tickets are priced too high for me!

But Geneva, that's the point.

I wouldn't pay 5 bucks to see Steely Dan. And Jason, this isn't exactly a coup for UA. Next year you'll be able to see Steely Dan for free at the rib burn-off.

Flacido, if this isn't a coup for UA, then why has all of the $148 tickets for both shows been sold out for over a week now? Oh, I know…you are well read and unique connoisseur of music and those who are going to this show are unsophisticated clods. Something tells me that you couldn't care less about this announcement one way or another. You just live to rain on the parade of others with your grossly unwarranted sense of superiority. Lonely in that little bitter and negative world of yours isn't it?
