The minute a band -- any band -- begins accepting money for their music (live or recorded, whether they're playing some crummy basement rock club or a 70,000-seat stadium), they've entered the corporate world. GNR was very corporate. Nirvana was corporate. The Beatles were corporate. There's nothing wrong with admitting it. Well, it's all corporate, to be honest. If you don't dig it, you have a hang up with him, not the music itself. Or just don't get non-disposable music anymore, since corporate, disposable rock reigns today. People don't like Axl because he comes off in the media as a bully, because he doesn't kiss the media's ass like Slash and other sell outs do. The guys a frickin' genius. End of story. Not too many left in music. He's the last real rockstar IMO. If the record wasn't exclusive to BEST BUY only, it would be selling a lot more. I read it sells 3 to 1 Worldwide vs. U.S. That was long.
