Celtics gripe over Allen's suspension

Ray Allen's one-game suspension for elbowing Anderson Varejao in the you-know-what will cost him $193,000 (not $158,000 as I first reported). Allen called the elbow an "unfortunate incident."

Ray Allen was suspended one game by the NBA for his elbow to the groin of Cavs forward Anderson Varejao. It means nothing to tonight's meaningless game against Philadelphia, but it will cost Allen $158,000.
