hey Larry D. you are so f…ing right all the time. So much so that Weis has already signed with KC. Idiot! It's bad enough dealing with Terje and Alan. Also, anyone who thinks Mangini's ego is too big to work for other people is wrong! If mangini gets fired, he won't be working anywhere as a head coach for some time. He knows it, so he wants this job until he can be successful and have a resume' that will help him land another gig. Geez, get the story right!

I still think Mike Holmgren was just being decent in his remarks yesterday. If Mangini had a chance to stay, it would have been dealt with by now. Holmgren's been on the job for nearly three weeks now, yet he and the owner have been completely absent from town that entire time. Hell, the owner didn't even come to town yesterday for what was arguably the most important press conference in Browns history. So, what does that say?

It says to me, bye-bye. Randy Lerner has taken no chances that he would accidentally run into Eric Mangini ever since he started wooing Holmgren. That speaks volumes.

And don't give me anything about the weather. There was no real weather yesterday. What would Bill Belichik have to say about Randy's weather excuse? Randy the weasel just didn't want to have to look Mangini in the eye.

God, I hope Holmgren works out, because this owner is a dunderhead of the first order. Let's just hope this blind squirrel finally found his nut.

rumour has it that the first of the OC assistant coaches has quit.
George McDonald the WR coach has accepted a job(same capacity) with Rutgers University.
I didn't know that the Browns had a WR coach. Couldn't tell by what I saw on the field this season. I don't think that he'll have this year on his resume'.

I'm sure Holmgren was quite thrilled that Jim Brown invited himself to that press conference. It was interesting when Trent Dilfer said Holmgren will be a good thing for the Browns if Lerner will now remove from his ear "the Jim Browns of the world." It doesn't look like Cleveland's most athletically famous domestic dispute king is going to voluntarily exit the premises without being dragged.

I'm not sure what's laid out in the article except:
1. Mangini is a control freak.
2. Holmgren's a control freak who will only work with people he's worked with before.
3. Holmgren will hire Weis, who he hasn't worked with before, as far as I know.
4. Mangini cannot work with Weis, who he has worked with before.

It is all clear as a bell.

without reading the link (I will after this post), I just don't think Mangini's ego can take being bossed around by no less than THREE people, possibly more. I look for a firing that is more of a resignation on Mangini's part.
