One thought on Belichick

So much has been written and said about Bill Belichick's decision to go for the first down on fourth-and-two from his 28 late in the Sunday night game at Indianapolis. But few people ask this question, so I'm going to: Crazy as it was, wasn't it refreshing to see one NFL coach go against the mold and actually try to … you know … WIN the game right then and there?

Completely agree. NFL coaches to save their jobs, not to win games.

Hey Pat, picture Mangini making that call. You would feel the same way? The call isn't any less dumb because a first ballot Hall of Famer made it.

  4. terje says:

the call wasn't gutsy it was cowardly. belichick was wetting himself over the thought of giving manning the ball.

Reminds me of the article in the Beacon about the KSU QB ( Spencer Keith) coming out of a HS program that refused to punt EVER! Talk about thinking outside the box…

Hey terje, do you think Belichick was in on the Zastudil plot or did Mangini carry out the nefarious plan on his own?
