No reason to doubt Quinn

Looking at the replay of Brady Quinn's hit on Terrell Suggs, I cut him a little slack (headline got ya, didn't it?). But not a lot. Quinn appeared to dive at the knees of Suggs for no apparent reason, but Chris Carr was returning the interception right behind Suggs. So there was reason … especially since Quinn said he didn’t see Suggs until the last second.

Quinn's reaction on the field was telling, too. Clearly he knew he had made a mistake.

The Ravens have right to be angry, but Quinn is not a dirty player and he immediately apologized and took his medicine like a man.

He's handled a mistake well.

It's time to move on.

All of the dirty player comments coming from the Ravens make me laugh! It's like a politician leading a campaign against prostitution and getting popped in a prostitution sting. And the only thing worse than having a quarterback take your guy out for the season would be having a kicker take your guy out for the season.

And Quinn with all the apologies! Come on Brady, knock it off already! You should be saying…Yeah and I got more from where that came from!

There is one guy on a football team who is the object to smash on every play and that is the quarterback. I guarantee you that if Quinn hadn't gone low that play, Suggs would have lit him up like a Christmas tree with a block that would have made Sportscenter for the hits of the year. Quinn would have had canaries and stars circling his head and the cart would have been brought out while the Ravens secretly gave each other high fives for another knock out….Hey shoe…welcome to the other foot!
