It is not about soccer. It is about justice. It is about Frenchies who would be speaking German if we did not help them. The sensible thing to do would be to cut Thierry Henry's hand off, feed it to him and make France miss the World Cup.

Please also keep in mind that our independence would have been delayed and all of American history would be different if the French had not aided the colonials. French aid was critical to American victory, a fact that has been largely edited out of the American memory.
I'm not a Francophile but the snide tone towards France smacks of American arrogance. Keep in mind that when a sports team is number one, there's only one direction to go. The young, hungry teams are looking to knock off the champs. It's the same for nations.
