Which is why smart people always use their own cell phones and numbers for business, and then submit the bills for reimbursement. If something happens, it's your number, your plan and your phone, so the employer can't render you incommunicado.
For a guy making what Kokinis made– in an era where unlimited voice/data use runs you, at max, $200 per month– it's a no-brainer.
I do think this guy was hosed by the Browns, but I've seen turkey chicks with better instincts for self-preservation.
Great scoop, Pat. But maybe your headline maybe should read "The Browns took their cellphone back." Glazer and any NFL halftime show is a good source, in any case.
It's just like FOX to wrap themselves in the American flag. No doubt the soldiers were holding civilians hostage unless their demands to bring Terry Bradshaw to Afghanistan were met.
Hey, Geoff, why are you assuming the Browns are loosey-goosey on phone policy. The Browns obviously assign phones and phone numbers to those that are entitled to have one. What's so hard to understand?
Frankly, I think this post is an undeserved cheapshot at the Browns. Way overboard. So, they took back their phone and their phone number. I mean, it IS their phone and their phone number.
What, are the folks in the front offices of other teams retarded? The guy is in the freakin' phone book. Really.
And, if somebody is too stupid to look him up in the White Pages, then they can simply call the Ravens to get his phone number. No doubt they have it. It would take two minutes. Problem solved. Or, if somebody doesn't want to call the Ravens, then spend a minute on Google to get the name of Kokinis' agent, and then call his agent. Again, problem solved.
I agree with larry d. And what Glazer didn't say is that HE couldn't get in touch with Kokinis by the time Glazer got on camera. But other people can't get in touch with Kokinis? Unless Kokinis is currently holed up in one of those Afghani caves, give me a break.

I'm just curious what winning secrets he would've had to share after his tenure with the Browns…
"Don't go to work for a blowhole", would be one.
Great video! Now when is Mangini going to get fired!

Glazer probably didn't have the number, called some GMs to see if they had it, and they all told him they didn't just to get off the phone.
