Why are they wasting time with this interview? Minority candidate or something? Seriously, if the Tribe hires Acta, can you begin to imagine the fan backlash? If the Tribe is trying to give their remaining fans a reason to jump ship, hire Acta.

Un-freak-in-be-liev-able.

What's wrong with hiring Manny Acta? Just because you've never heard of the guy, that makes it a bad hire?

And fan backlash? Jump ship? What fans? What ship? The fans continued to attend the games after the trades and will continue to attend. Attendance was bad when they were in the playoffs, it was bad after the playoffs, it was bad before the trades, it was bad after the trades. But people who said it would drop like a rock after the trades turned out to be dead wrong.

What makes a manager a good hire? There's a reason guys like greasy manipulative snakes like Bobby Valentine have been hired 50 times. And there's also a reason they've been fired 50 times.
