Beside the Point: The Blog by Patrick McManamon

Just wondering …

by Pat McManamon on October 14, 2009

in Browns, McManamon

If the Browns could only score six points against the Bills, what do they expect against Pittsburgh with Troy Polamalu?

How can Brady Quinn’s house be for sale? The Jets already have a quarterback.

How long before Brett Ratfliff starts?

Have we scoured the Jets roster to see who the quarterback will be for the Browns in 2010?

Kellen Clemens anyone?

I'll be pretty surprised if the Browns score a point Sunday.

Brady should've got all he could in an upfront signing bonus, not wasted time negotiating percentage of snaps, etc. I wish him well wherever he lands.

If Ratliff ever starts, the fans may pick up pitchforks and torches. However, if anyone views Derek Anderson as a solution beyond this season, they are kidding themselves and simply prolonging our losing agony for years to come.

If there is a betting pool forming here, I would go with 51-3 as a final. 20 years ago, the Browns beat the Steelers 51-3 on Opening Day, 1989. So, that means we should be psyched about the 2029 season. Maybe Bernie Kosar III will be the starting QB. Break the losing streak!

That game was a mirage, remembering that season. The coach, Bud Carson was fired mid-season by Model.

Just in case anyone thinks I've been into the Tanqueray & Tonic early, today, I do mean Steelers 51, Browns 3.

Watch-Quinn is gone-Anderson is worse than EVER now that he knows he is the 'MAN" we lose to Pitts puck 52-0 and look back at the Buffalo win as the only and most exciting win of the season…really-mark my words!
O forgot we get a 5th and 7th and a conditional 4th if Brady starts more than 3 games for the new team (Carolina) plus a fantastic special teams player!!
Got to love 99-09-Thanks Artie!

Carolina? Oakland, maybe? He can join Charlie Frye and they can chat about their similar fates.

Nah, not Kellen Clemens. Maybe Erik Ainge. Any nephew of Danny Ainge is a magnet for Eric Mangini.
