Rules for comments

I'm happy to have any and all readers, and I'll have as much fun with folks as anyone. But some of the comments on the Delonte West situation were out of line. They were maddening, in fact. This is a public blog. Kids read it. My kids read it. Please remember that reality. There are rules:

1) No profanity. Period.

2) No outrageous insulting of other commenters. It's one thing to rib Alan, it's quite another to insult another individual's looks, gender, race or beliefs. It won't happen here.

3) No racist or racial language or remarks. Period.

As David Stern might say, if you want to read and comment on this blog, those are the rules. If you want to do the above, there are a lot of other places to express yourself. Being anonymous does not mean anything goes.

Violators wil be edited or deleted.

Thanks your for your time.

Pat is absolutely right. Do not "rib" me because of my Dirk Diggler abnormality. It's just plain wrong, birth defects are not something to laugh at. And please, remember to pledge money to my telethon.

And if Pat is really going to "weigh in soon" relative to Joyce proclaiming that West should be sent to Siberia, then how 'bout not letting West's apparently agreeable nature not getting in the way of objective judgment. A Portland Jail Blazer is still a Portland Jail Blazer, even if he's playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. And who cares if the last thing the front office needs now is perceived chaos during James' last year of his contract. Not relevant.

By the way, wasn't West's agent threatening to sign West with a team in Siberia? Oh, wait, that was Moscow. What are the marijuana possession and concealed firearms laws in Moscow? Seriously, I want to know. Would West be sent to someplace resembling "Midnight Express?"

some guys just don't get it, do they, Pat?

Pat, hard to take the Brown's performance today. They seem to lack discipline, good coaching, physical stamina, professionalism, and the will to resist quitting in the middle of the game. Lack of talant not their big problem. Insanity is often defined as doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result. May fit coaching staff, ie running into the middle and getting stuffed over and over and not attempting more than two passes over 10yds and sticking with 2-7yders over and over with same result –failure.
Would be good for Browns to forfiet the Balt game and concentrate on preparing for the next game at home. Sure would be less embarassing and they may learn some of the basics and how not to quit if they have a professional coaching staff come in as guest instructures in the interim. Learner can afford it considering the cost of my season seats and ball park meals; an investment which also needs reconsideration. dgh
