Pat (and Mitch)
Marte has been getting at-bats and no days off... and after his recent hot streak he is currently in a big time slump. Giving him a day off is a natural in that situation, no?
It's hardly "wasting a game". Slumping players get a day off. Happens all the time.
As for Brown... all the scouting reports indicate his defense is pretty poor. THAT is why he didn't get the call-up.
Can he hit? Maybe... but if he can't catch... then we don't want him in the outfield... no?
Getting steamed because a guy who got called up primarily to be able to spell the other infielders occasionally?
Its not worth a blog post, or the negative energy

Organizational decisions like the one to not promote IL batting champion Jordan Brown are just one reason why this team is in the pathetic shape it is today. What kind of message does Shapiro think he's sending to every minor league player, when a freakin' batting champion is bypassed for a "versatile .240 grinder." ?
