Giving him a day off is a natural in that situation, no? It's hardly "wasting a game". Slumping players get a day off. Happens all the time. As for Brown... all the scouting reports indicate his defense is pretty poor. THAT is why he didn't get the call-up. Can he hit? Maybe... but if he can't catch... then we don't want him in the outfield... no? Getting steamed because a guy who got called up primarily to be able to spell the other infielders occasionally?
