I suggest that alan t. be banned from posting for 2 weeks for his above indiscretion. I was around in 1983. Those 'jokes' had no comedic value then and they 'shirley' don't now. And, I will keep calling him Shirley.

Not to date myself in a major way, or anything, and probably next to nobody here will know what I'm talking about, but I like to amuse myself. So sue me. This reminds me of those jokes that made me giggle when Jessica Savage drowned. There were a whole bunch of funny ones, but it's been 26 years, I can only remember two. 26 years later, they still make me giggle.

Q: Why did Jessica Savage drown?
A: Because she was an anchorwoman.

Sure I do, when I have nothing else to do, or it is raining, or I've seen the rerun of 2 and 1/2 Men too many times. In general I don't bother. I can't tell you who the anchors for the 3 networks are anymore. I'm not sure why I don't watch, I guess I find it to me more cheerleading than news reporting, it is so non-offensive it is bland.
