The Kyle Orton era is off to a roaring start

by Pat McManamon on August 31, 2009

in Jay Cutler, McManamon, NFL

I know Jay Marriotti is a Chicago guy. That being said, I also agree with him that Denver could be in for a long season. Fans showed up to boo Jay Cutler on Sunday, and the Broncos took some shots at him. But Marriotti is right when he asks: “When the fans boo Cutler, aren't they really venting bitterness over the demise of their beloved franchise?” In my humble opinion, the mess that is the Broncos right now might lead to a one-and-done for coach Josh McDaniels.

For good measure, Fox’s Alex Marvez puts the Cutler-Orton trade in perspective. He says it pretty much stinks for Denver.

That Alex Marvez looks like legendary lowlife joke thief Carlos Mencia.

While it is always pleasant to see the Browns-dominating Denver Swine Ponies in a fix, until the earth swallows up John Elway, it's still painful to even read an article about them.

I'd rather see Orton on the Broncos than Cutler, which I am sure most Broncos fans agree with me. He is a bad man, and shouldn't be getting all the hype he is already getting.

Sorry Erin, the city is divided down the middle on this one. Cutler may have been a petulant person but he is a stud on the field. While I will concede that McD was right about the team needing to address the needs on offense and defense, I think the bone headed move to deal the QB was not one of them. By doing this, all McD has done is create a domino effect with B Marsh now wanting out. Odds are there are others in the same boat but are not a vocal about it. I can't wait to see what they do next with B Marsh. It is almost certain that if they trade him others will follow. If not this season, for sure next.
