cartoon_vultureThe latest internet craze is to go through a person’s story and pick through it line by line until nothing is left but some bones and hanging cartilage. Consider my bones picked over. This is all well and good, and in fact it feels like some sort of right of passage. One caveat everyone should know about anything anything I write for the Beacon-Journal: I don’t write the headlines. They are done by editors inside the building.

And they do have good taste in the illustrations that are used on the page, except for the guy in burnt orange and brown.
