One team is happy with the trade

Cliff Lee has had four starts in Philadelphia. He’s thrown two complete games, pitched seven innings in one game and eight in the other two. In going 4-0 for the Phillies on Wednesday, Lee threw 106 pitches, 81 strikes, and struck out a career-high 11.

These guys the Indians acquired best pan out.

  1. Darnell Valentine says:

Cliff Lee is hoping for induction into the Cleveland Indians “Stretch Drive Pitcher Sell Off” hall of fame.

He will join such players as Rick Sutcliff (16-1 for the Cubs), Bartolo Colon (10-4 for the Expos), and the most recent member of the club CC (11-2 with the Brewers).

You’re right Pat, there had better be more Joe Carter’s and Cliff Lee’s among the players we got back and fewer Zack Jackson’s and Don Schulze’s .

    COULD NOT AGREE MORE!

Pat, Darnell, David – "truer words were never spoken". A part of me knows it happened, all the hows, whys & wherefores, that it's a done deal; but the first time I saw Lee's picture, wearing a Phillies uniform… THAT was a painful reality that was hard to accept, and some very UNprintable phrases came to mind… the acquisitions may be nice guys, but they'd better walk on water. Heck, I'm still getting over losing Omar…
